Great success in the celebration of our first Webinar 'UNWTO COVID-19 Response'! 

On 12 May 2020 Skål International held, with great success, its first webinar with Manuel Butler, Executive Director of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), as guest speaker.

With more than 500 registered, the session, which was introduced by Daniela Otero, CEO of Skål International, focused on the UNWTO response to COVID- 19 and future perspectives in the Tourism industry.

Our special thanks go to Mr. Manuel Butler for his assistance and availability for the session as well as for answering the questions raised during the webinar by the attendees.

Skål International would also like to thank all attendees for their participation in this first webinar, which will be followed by others on relevant topics in the sector, both in Spanish and English.

Mr. Manuel Butler Halter

Executive Director of the United Nations World Tourism Organization.

Mr. Manuel Butler Halter joined UNWTO in June 2018 as Executive Director. For more than 25 years, Mr. Butler (Spain) has been involved at the highest level in the promotion of Tourism in Spain.

Mr. Butler has a B.A. and a PhD. in Naval Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Madrid. He has postgraduate degrees in Senior Management (IESE Business School, University of Navarra) and Corporate Finance (London Business School).

A native Spanish speaker, he is fluent in English, French, and German.
